Chain Scoring Update!
I've got a bit of a busy weekend, unfortunately, as it's my birthday and I've made the terrible mistake of having friends. So I wanted to push the first iteration of the brand new chain scoring system before I go MIA. How long can you maintain a 10x score combo? Find out RIGHT NOW!

Okay, so the scoring system is pretty simple. For every kill you get within a second of the last kill, you obtain a score multiplier, all the way up to a maximum of 10x. If you don't get another kill within a second, you drop the combo and have to start over from zero. That's all it does right now, but since the kids today don't seem to care about points anymore, I'm kicking around an idea to make obtaining 10x mode a little more exciting, probably by making the ship temporarily more powerful.
I've also added sorely missing sound effects for the bomb mechanic and the blood weapon. Other sounds and music have been turned down so they don't blow out your crappy phone speakers anymore. Scores for enemies have been adjusted so that the multiplier system doesn't place your score into the high zillions and I've also adjusted how much the blood increases the blood meter because enemies bleed a lot more than they did in previous versions, which is meant to rip off replicate the feel of medal-gathering in Cave shooters.
I haven't worked on level 2 much more because I really want to make level 1 as good as I can. I need more feedback, especially from you veteran STG players. Once I understand what works and doesn't, I think I will be able to craft additional levels a lot faster. So level 1's my test bed and I'm reluctant to leave it prematurely.
